‘YOUNG LEADERS FUND’ APPLICATION PROCESS

The Young Leaders Fund Program targets young people aged 25-40. We fund the following categories;

  1. Registered Youth-led community organizations.
  2. Young people seeking political positions.

We view young leaders as the experts in designing their projects. We do not pre-select any specific advocacy topics beyond our overarching goal of advancing youth leadership, allowing young people to set their own priorities rather than imposing our priorities on them.

Grants go directly to young leaders, so they do not exclude those who are unaffiliated to an organization, a political party or government administrations in place. This ensures that the funding is fully utilized by the individual and protect them from financial exploitation.

We believe that political change do not only happen at the ballot. Real lasting transformation goes beyond election day. This means, political engagement is not just about casting a vote – it’s about shaping policies, holding leaders accountable and building a culture of governance that works for everyone.

To apply for this programme, youth led organizations or individual youth leaders should submit a well written Concept Note for review. The Concept Note must answer the following four sections in a maximum of four pages (each section must be answered in one page).
